Too Beautiful to Stay Lost

Last spring while preparing for the 2017 Toronto Doors Open Exhibits I received an email from a woman named Cheryl. She included this description and photographs of her painting. Unfortunately they got lost in the shuffle and I am now “unshuffling” them. Here are Cheryl’s comments:

This oil on canvas was purchased at Luke's Auction here in St Catharines for $30.00. The frame had been painted a few times, most recently a puce colour. I have repainted it black. It was purchased for my daughter IOANA , because it reminded me of our cottage road in the fall. Same winding road and trees. The colours will match the vintage orange lamp I bought her a month ago for her new apartment.

And here are her photographs:

My apology to Cheryl. Thanks for sharing your Parry Sound beauty with us.
