SPRING

The varied locations in which Clara chose to paint meant persevering with the slush and mud characteristic of the Canadian Spring.  The locations recorded by Clara, Nogies Creek, Bobcaygeon and the Humber River provided the catalyst for research trips completed in 2011.  To fully appreciate Clara’s work I needed to know where she painted.

Depictions of Spring by Clara Harris

Clara Harris introduces us to her world of spring as the ice breaks up on the waterways, the snow disappears, and a warm light bathes the verdant landscape in a soft yellow glow. Her optimistic images promise warmer days
